About Engramix
Building AI That Serves the People Behind the Supply Chain
A practical, data-driven team based in Kuala Lumpur.

How We Got Here
Engramix started in 2019, when a small group of data scientists and supply chain consultants in Kuala Lumpur noticed a recurring pattern: Malaysian manufacturers and distributors were sitting on valuable operational data but lacked the tools and models to turn that data into decisions. Traditional analytics only scratched the surface. Something more adaptive was needed.
The founding team — drawn from logistics consulting, machine learning research, and enterprise software backgrounds — came together with a straightforward idea: build AI solutions that address specific supply chain problems, not generic platforms looking for problems to solve. From the beginning, the emphasis was on listening first, then building.
Our early work focused on demand forecasting for a mid-sized electronics distributor in Selangor. The results were encouraging — forecast accuracy improved meaningfully within two quarters, and inventory carrying costs dropped. Word spread, and more engagements followed across food distribution, automotive parts, and consumer goods.
Today, Engramix operates from Bangsar Baru, serving clients across Peninsular Malaysia and increasingly in Sabah and Sarawak. Our team has grown, but the ethos hasn't changed: understand the problem first, keep solutions grounded in data, and make sure the people who use our tools can actually use them without a PhD in data science.
Our Mission
What Guides Us
We believe that artificial intelligence should simplify complex operations, not add another layer of complexity. Our mission is to help Malaysian businesses make better supply chain decisions by giving them models and dashboards that are accurate, understandable, and integrated into their daily workflows. We measure success not by the sophistication of our algorithms, but by whether our clients can act on what we deliver.
Our Team
The People Behind the Models
A cross-disciplinary team with backgrounds in data science, logistics, and enterprise software.
Raymond Lim
Managing Director
Former supply chain consultant with twelve years in Southeast Asian manufacturing. Leads client strategy and business development.
Nurul Aisyah
Head of Data Science
Machine learning researcher with a background in time-series forecasting and Bayesian methods. Oversees all model development at Engramix.
Kumar Subramaniam
Solutions Architect
Enterprise software engineer specialising in ERP integrations and dashboard platforms. Ensures every solution works in the client's real environment.
Standards
How We Work
The protocols and standards that shape how we handle your data and deliver results.
Data Security
All client data is processed in encrypted environments with strict access controls. We sign NDAs before any data transfer and follow Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) guidelines.
Model Validation
Every model we deliver goes through a multi-stage validation process: backtesting on historical data, cross-validation splits, and a pilot period on live data before full deployment.
Client Collaboration
We don't build in isolation. Regular check-ins, shared progress boards, and transparent documentation keep your team involved at every stage of the engagement.
Version Control
All code and model artefacts are version-controlled and documented. You receive full technical handover packages, so your team can maintain and extend solutions independently.
Performance Monitoring
Delivered models come with monitoring frameworks that track accuracy metrics over time, alerting you when performance drifts and retraining is advisable.
Ethical AI Practices
We maintain transparency about what our models can and cannot do, avoid overpromising on outcomes, and design solutions that augment human judgment rather than replace it.
Our Values
What We Stand For
At Engramix, clarity is a principle, not just a design choice. We believe that AI solutions should be explainable to the people who depend on them. If a logistics manager can't understand why a model is recommending a particular routing change, the model isn't finished yet. Our work prioritises interpretability alongside accuracy, because the most powerful prediction is one your team trusts enough to act on.
We approach every engagement with respect for what our clients already know. Operations teams carry deep institutional knowledge — about supplier quirks, seasonal patterns, regional constraints — that no dataset fully captures. Our role is to complement that expertise with structured models, not to override it. The best outcomes happen when human experience and machine learning work in concert.
Malaysia's supply chain landscape is diverse, spanning palm oil processors in Johor, electronics assemblers in Penang, and e-commerce fulfilment centres in the Klang Valley. Each context brings its own data challenges, regulatory environment, and operational culture. We've built our practice around this diversity, adapting our methods rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all framework. The result is solutions that feel like they belong in your operation, not something bolted on from the outside.
